Samhain
is the celtic name and its the final harvest
also called the blood harvest
b/c all the animals.. cows and pigs
were slaughtered at that time aswell
to keep the meat for winter
(it cost more in food to feed livestock over the winter
than meat you will get off them.. so only bred stock was kept)
its the celtic new year.. the turn of the wheel
life begins in darkness... in the womb or over the winter
life and death and all that dramatic celtic stuff!
so Samhain is the fest of the Dead aswell
you celebrate lost loved ones
and prepare than many may not make it thru the winter...

The spooky tree outside my bedroom window cast a shadow
that traveled around my room and over my bed
on my bedroom walls whenever a car passed by on our road!

I dressed up for Dia de Muertos!
this is something very pecial - the cat ears and tail
were created and handmade by my dear friend Gwen Sato!
I can sew the tail to any pants I am wearing, so it is very practical.
The ears are in a head piece and they keep my hair in place.
